Here’s what our educational advisor, Carla C.E. Fisher,
says about Tickle Tap Apps:

Why is the iPhone a great platform for preschoolers?

“Devices such as the iPhone, which incorporate interactivity through both touch screens and motion, are particularly appealing to preschool children as well as easier to use than other forms of interaction. Indirect methods of input, such as clicking the computer mouse and watching for changes on a monitor inches, or even feet, away, can be difficult for children to master, both mentally and physically. A direct method of input, such as the iPhone touch screen, reduces the cognitive load by allowing children to touch the items they wish to interactive with. This method of interaction is also easier physically, as it allows children to point – a fine motor skill that most preschool children have mastered – rather than learn to move a cumbersome mouse or joystick.”

What you think of Tickle Tap Apps?

“Preschool-friendly educational content is always in demand, particularly now that parents are discovering that their children love to play with touch screen devices, yet only a handful of high-quality, age-appropriate games exist for young children. Instead young children often play games meant for older children and become frustrated when they encounter significant usability problems as the games are not designed for their cognitive and physical needs. Tickle Tap Apps addresses all of these issues by providing playful interactive content that is physically and cognitively appropriate, educational, and, most importantly, fun.”
